Eagle Scout Medal Robbins Type 5 19691978

The robbins watermark on the back. In 1969, the bsa returned to teh front of the medal and also the full feathered back. This is not a robbins eagle medal. This is a stange type 5 ealge scout medal.

I believe this is a type 5c from the 1986-1989 timeframe. Note the flattened s on the front and the white edging on the ribbon. I do not see any s on the scroll. Late in 1979, the price fo silver was costly. This caused the boy scouts to use a non precious metal in the making of the badges. The stange type 5 were silver plated copper, oxidized to black, buffed and lacquered. This is one of those.
